I was at Alabang Town Center a while ago, and since it’s Monday, I wasn’t surprised to see that the J.Co Doughnut store there have a few people lining up.
I was craving for a doughnut for almost a month now (yes I know that’s long), so I decided to buy a half dozen just to satisfy my cravings.
Honestly, the first time I tasted J.Co Doughnuts was when it opened it’s branch at the SM Mall of Asia and at that time, people haven’t discovered it yet. There was no long que and the crew were not that busy preparing for doughnuts. I find the taste just okay. Okay means there is nothing extra special with the flavor that will make me fall in a long line just to get my hands and mouth on it.
Some people said that what they like about this doughnut was it is not too sweet. But for me, I think it depends on what flavor you ordered.
While waiting for my number to be called at the cashier, I have noticed their price list. Then that is when I realized that it is maybe the reason why many people fall in line at J.CO compared to other doughnut chains – they have a very competitive price. The more you order the lesser the price of doughnut per piece is.
J.CO Doughnut Price list is:
Per piece Php 42.00
1/2 Dozen Php 230.00 = only Php 38.33 per pc
1 Dozen Php 350.00 = only Php 29.17 per pc
2 Dozen Php 550.00 = only Php 22.92 per pc
On the other hand, an assorted dozen doughnut from it’s main competitor was around Php 450.00 I think. That’s around a hundred peosos difference from J.CO Doughnut (correct me if I’m wrong here)
If you are one of the avid fans of J.Co Doughnut, what makes you fall in a long line?
