The launching of Garnier Pure Active products with Georgina Wilson

When I received an invite to attend a Bloggers Night event with Georgina Wilson, to launch Garnier Pure Active products, I made myself available since I wanted to meet her in person.

The event was held at the Robinson Equitable Tower at Ortigas. I am one of the early birds at the area, and what’s good about it is I got to be the first one to see all the cool things that they have to offer that day.

The Garnier team asked me to have my “pimple statement” shirts first before the other bloggers arrive. It comes in 3 different colors (red, blue and white). I chose white because it was highly recommended by the t-shirts artist.

I also wrote my twitter name on the Google Map check-in inspired wall, I have put it besides the name of Georgina hehe .

When some of my blogger friends finally arrived, we had our pictures taken at an innovative photo booth with Flipbooks prints. This was my first time to see and experience what it was like. The flipbooks were a series of still photos printed (taken for 7 seconds) on separate sheets that are stacked together and, when flicked through rapidly enough gives the impression of moving images. I realized that the event will be an intimate one since the venue is quite small. And, I was right since the Garnier team were roaming from one table to another and asking us some questions, which made us comfortable.

The event started by the Garnier General Manager Mr. Arnaud de FontGalland. He told us that here in the Philippines, there are lots of men and women alike who don’t know how to take care of their skin, especially their faces based on the survey done. Some don’t even know their own skin types and what is the right product to use for it. That is the reason why they were asking the online media to help them spread the word about the Garnier latest line of skin care and what it has to offer to the people who think there are no solution to their face problems.

He said that Garnier Pure Active is made of two powerful acne-fighting ingredients:
• Purifying Salicylic Acid– with proven anti-bacterial properties
• Natural Herbal Repair– from blueberry extracts, which helps repair and regenerate the skin to prevent scarring.

I have tried this when I arrived at home since I have a pimple in my forehead and what surprised me is that it doesn’t sting or hurt. I have used the Eskinol Acne Pimple eraser before  and I can’t stand the pain and itchiness that I felt after applying it. This Garnier Pimple Roll On is cool on the skin and doesn’t leave any marks after you applied it. I will buy one for my nephew since he is a teenager and he has lots of pimples on his face. So, let’s see if this roll on can remove his face impurities and let’s see the difference.

I have known Georgina Wilson through Mo Twister of Magic 89.9. I was an avid listener before (before the controversies) and I always hear Mo admire the beauty of Georgina. That is when I googled this girl to know more about her and why Mo or any other guys admire her. When I saw her in person at the event, I realized how beautiful she really is, that even though she makes funny faces, she still looks stunning.

If you think she never had a bad day in her face, think again. She shared to us that whenever she had a pimple on her younger years, she usually put toothpaste on it to make it dry. Unfortunately, it just makes things worse since it leaves a dark spot afterwards. I think KC Concepcion also said before that she used toothpaste on her face whenever she had pimples.

If you think that simple and unpopular people are odd, well these beautiful celebrities also had gone through things to achive a clearer skin, so we are just the same as them.
