Every wedding is a special occasion that most women cherish for a lifetime. Up to now, every wedding that I attend reminds me of the jitters and the giddy feeling that I had when my husband and I exchanged our vows. My husband and I have been married for 9 years already and I wouldn’t mind doing it over and over again. I am not the only one with this sentiment as Hollywood celebrities like David and Victoria Beckham, Mariah Carrey and Nick Cannon, Beyonce and Jay-Z are among those publicized to have renewed their vows. Whether you are about to say “I do” for the first time or just thinking about renewing your vows here are some famous wedding venues that you can consider.
Two of the most popular ones are the San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral (where I got married) which are both in the Intramuros area. The appeal of these churches lies on its reflection of our rich history and culture especially the San Agustin Church which is located inside the walled city of Intramuros. Other equally famous venues in Manila are San Sebastian Church in Quaipo, Malate Church and Binondo Church.
Those who would like to have a quiet wedding close to nature will love a Calaruega Wedding. The scenic trip going to the Transfiguration Chapel in Calaruega is already a refreshing experience for city dwellers like us. Getting inside the chapel grounds and seeing the breathtaking views is like falling in love all over again. There are also reception venues within the grounds where the guests can enjoy the scenic views of Calaruega as they make their way to the reception. If it isn’t quite obvious yet, Calaruega is my favorite among the famous wedding venues near the Metro.
For the hopeless romantic, any spot can be perfect as long as you are with the one you love. As for me, choosing the best venue for saying “I do” is also a matter of following your heart.

Ang sosyal ni Madam, Manila Cathedral, :P. If Jeff and I will have our church wedding, I’d probably choose Calaruega as our church.

I would love to be wedded again at the St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City or at the Romeo and Juliet balcony in Verona, Italy… it should be very romantic. 😀 as if I can afford it! But still, it doesn’t hurt to dream! 😀

wow, I would love to visit those places too. Not to be wed there again, but just to see the country itself.

Hubby and I are planning to get renew our vows in church on our tenth wedding anniversary. I’m thinking of the St. Mark Chapel in the National Arts Center as the venue. 🙂
