Last Saturday, even though it’s raining, my husband and I together with Ren, decided to push through our plan to unwind and celebrate our 6th year anniversary at a resort located in the heart of Bulacan. It will be my second time to go swimming in Bulacan, the first time was a not so good experience because it wasn’t planned and the resort was really crowded.
I saw Pacific Waves resort in a deal at Cash Cash Pinoy, which offered 2 days and 1 night for only P1,250 and it comes with Complimentary Breakfast for 2 (original price is: P2,500), the place looks nice in the pictures, so I didn’t hesitate to click BUY, and I am glad I made that decision.
The check in schedule should be around 2PM but since it’s quite far from our place here in Manila plus the traffic in Quezon City, we arrived there around 5:30PM already. I didn’t expect much of the place since there are instances that pictures differ from the actual area but I was surprised that the picture and the actual place was actually the same. The friendly staff at the front desk accommodated us quickly and showed us our Deluxe Room.
Since we’ve brought Ren with us, we requested for a TV to keep him occupied while we are inside the room. At first, he is hesitant to enter the room since he has sensory issues and one of that is being afraid of small and dark lit areas. But after a while when he saw Spongebob on the TV, he was okay.
The Deluxe Room was small (maybe around 30-40sqm only), but it’s clean and there were lots of drawers. I liked the shower room because it has hot and cold water, they also have complimentary shampoos, soaps, toothpastes and toothbrushes and with that there is also a hair blow dryer.
Unlike other hotels that I’ve visited the room doesn’t have a mini refrigerator with various drinks inside. I realized it when I remembered that I forgot to bring our own drinking water.
Since the restaurant was not far away from the hotel room, we decided to just go there for our dinner instead of getting a room service that have an additional 10% from the cost of the food. My husband and I each ordered Fried Tilapia for P100 (it also comes with rice and red Iced Tea) while we ordered Fried Chicken for Ren P140 (it also comes with rice and red Iced Tea too).
I was so hungry at that time that I have already taken a bite on the fish before I even remembered to take pictures first.
The Tilapia was cooked well and I liked the dip (vinegar with tomatoes) that comes with it. The Spring fried Chicken for Ren is also huge that I even helped him to finish it (yes, I am really that hungry hahaha).
Since we are used in sleeping on a big bed in the house because Ren is tossing and turning while he sleeps, the bed in Pacific Waves was quite small for the 3 of us. But since the area was peaceful and quiet (just like a retreat house), we quickly fell asleep soundly.
The next day, we woke up around 8AM to have our complimentary breakfast. They offered 3 choices of breakfast (Tapa, Daing na Bangus and Hotdog). We all chose the Hotdog meal and it comes with an egg and a drink (you can choose between iced tea or coffee).
The hotdog was just okay and for sure it’s not Tender Juicy Hotdogs because “I’m a kid at heart so I can tell” hehehe
After breakfast, we headed straight to the pool area. They only allow proper swimwear at the pool and because I thought that it’s going to rain and the water is going to be cold, I brought our rashguard to keep us warm.
Here is the adult pool. I was so glad that it is only 5ft deep, since I am afraid to take a dip if I cannot touch my feet on the floor. lol
If you would only want to stay for a while and just like to swim, you can just rent the Nipa Huts, Cabanas or Tents that is located around the pool.
Here is the price list for your guidance:
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this resort. And as you can see in the pictures, Ren really had a great time swimming. We give it a rating of 5/6. We truly recommend you guys to try to visit the place if you need a place to relax and unwind.

Wow, looks like a nice and fun place. I’m like you, I don’t swim in a pool where my feet can’t touch the floor 🙂
Have a merry Christmas, Levy!

I don’t know how to swim that’s the reason I want that my feet can still touch the ground. I am also not a fan of beaches for that matter 🙂 Merry Christmas to you dear Pepper
