In choosing a dining or center table, go for one with no sharp corners. Children running around could easily bump into the tables and the sharp edges could inflict wounds on them. If you are looking for a table and chair for your kid’s room, look for a type that is just right for their age.
Avoid standing lamps with long electrical cords. If you wish to have lamps installed around the house, having a wall mounted one is a safer option. Making your home child friendly doesn’t mean that all the furniture is to be replaced, if you have fixtures that could be considered as a safety hazard for your kids, keep it along the corners. Provide enough room around the house for your children to move freely without any restrictions.
