On judging someone by his/her appearance!

I am GUILTY your honor… Yes this is one of the bad habit that I am getting rid of my system. I usually judge a person by his or her aura. Like I am a friendly person, but if you look like a snobbish and vain person, then I will not approach you since I don’t want to be rejected.

When I was in college, my friends and I sometimes make fun of other people. We usually talk about how chubby, how ugly and how lame a person is. We were young ladies back then who just want to make fun, unfortunately we make fun of others flaws but we can’t even see our own flaws.

But after so many years, now I think I am more matured, but still sometimes old habits still kicks in.

At my son’s therapy center there is one mom there that I never approached because she looks snobbish. She looks Chinese and I am afraid to talk to her since I don’t know if she wants to talk to someone like me. I was surprised the other day when she approached me to ask for the newspaper besides where I was sitting since she said she was sleepy and that was a start of a good conversation with her. I never taught that because of the newspaper, I will meet a wonderful person hiding in a snobbish look. From the time we started chatting, now I am looking forward to the next day we will see each other again since I love talking to her. We shared a few mommy things that’s maybe the reason we clicked.

Now, I can really say that it is not right to judge a person by his/her looks. One can be beautiful outside but has dark side inside. I am sorry to all the people I have judged before, I will try my best to be good and to look at the good side of every person that I meet.

Gosh, it’s hard to be holy and kind but I am trying my best to be one… Naks!!!
