Reading magazines is one of the thing I do when I feel stress and just want to have a “me” and quiet time. I know a lot of women go out to shop, dine or treat themselves to a relaxing massage, well I do this too if we have extra budget to splurge but reading magazine is free so this is the practical way for me to be stress free.
My addiction to magazine started when I got my first paycheck. When I was still single I usually buy fashion and relationship related magazine like Cosmopolitan, Mega and Preview. That is when I became shopahalic LOL and some celebrity magazine like YES and OK, I give away some of it.
When I got married, my interests suddenly switched to making our house homey and cozy and to learn how to cook simple recipes. This is the reason why I chose Good Housekeeping and Real Living magazines. I love this magazine so much.
Sometimes, I also buy Entrepreneur magazines (it depends on the topics on the cover). Through this magazine, I found out about small businesses/dealerships that I can start with minimal capital.
When I got pregnant 2 years after enjoying a married life, I switched to Smart Parenting magazines. It is very helpful for first time moms like me. I also like Working mom magazine.
Now, since I want my family to be healthy, I buy Health Today and Health Men’s and Health Women’s Magazine. These magazines are helpful to keep me motivated in being fit and healthy.
I also have Reader’s Digest. This magazine have customer satisfaction surveys in almost every issue and that they always come up with a promo or raffle where you can have a chance to win cash prizes and even a brand new car. After a year of subscription and a year of joining though,I stopped and just buy it whenever the topics on the cover interests me.
So, how about you what are the magazines you like to read? or do you read magazine? why and why not?

I used to buy Cosmopolitan, Entrepreneur and Yes magazines every month. Now, I don’t buy them anymore because I rely on the Internet for some good reads.

This sure is one rich collection. I miss reading mags tuloy. There’s nothing like reading from glossy pages as opposed to reading them on-line.:)

I used to splurge on Candy and StarStudio magazines way back in high school. But over the years, I grew tired of reading magazines especially when I constantly hooked with the net. I still buy today but only when there’s a special edition of let’s say first photos of Kim Chiu’s or Kris Aquino’s new home to be ever publicly shown. I’d buy that immediately.

I used to collect magazines when I was younger, but they just collect dust so I stopped. Nowadays I download my magazines from Zinio (an iPhone app). Try it! 🙂

Magazines are great source of practical information that keep us updated. At home I have more than 36 copies of readers digest. I have a monthly subscription before and it stopped in the year 2008. Now I am planning to subscribe again.

I used to buy FHM, Maxim and Men’s Health Magazine, but as time passed by I find it more convenient to read the same articles online. Don’t get me wrong there are still some well-written articles in those magazines, but space-wise having a collection of magazine eats up valuable space, not unless you are into magazine collection and plan to have a library filled with magazine.

There’s this magazine I used to buy and it’s Games Master pero after they’ve discontinued it, hindi na ako bumili ng magazine ulit. xP
