The 2nd day of the Thermos event was successfully held yesterday – July 31, 2011 at Grand Atrium Shangrila Plaza. The topic on the said event is about “Growing up healthy” with Dr. Corazon Carly-Santiago as the main speaker.
I learned a lot from the slides of Dr. Corazon Carly-Santiago. One of the valuable discussions that day was the recycle symbols at the bottom of every plastic container. I usually see this symbol, but I am not that knowledgeable on their meaning, so it’s nice that I learned it through this event.
The host, Ms. Mary Viernes also shared to us that it’s not proper to put chicken at the upper shelf of the refrigerator since it’s juices if it drip down may contaminate other foods with salmonella. But since the ref freezer is at the top level of every refrigerator it is advisable to put the chicken in a container or any other food for that matter, to avoid the spreading of bacteria causing diseases.
Mr. King del Rosario, the head of Thermos Brand Marketing, explained to us that the Genuine Thermos items are made of high quality materials. It is BPA (Bisphenol-A) FREE which is a chemical that may cause cancer for someone who is exposed to it for a very long time.
Thermos has various items to offer. They have Kitchen Cookwares.
They also have products for office workers, who pack their lunch or make their own coffee and still want it hot and fresh for up to 6 hours.
They also offer sports mugs but unfortunately I forgot to take some photos.
Lastly, what I am eyeing to have during the event was the Thermos Foogo for kids. I’d love to have one for my preschooler but my tight budget does not permit me to buy one.
To make sure you will have the Genuine Thermos items please purchase from authorized seller like Rustan’s

I remember having a thermos bottle when I was a kid. I never went to school without it. It’s good that Thermos is still around for our kids to enjoy.
