Its an honor to be invited and be part of the silver anniversary of the Filipino owned company that produced oral and personal care products – Lamoiyan Corporation.
The event was graced by Lamoiyan executives, trade partners, employees and representatives of Philippine Dental Association.
Dr. Cecilio Pedro, the President of Lamoiyan’s Corporation, shared to us how the company grew from a simple toothpaste tube and now they are one of the biggest producers of toothpaste in our country.
He mentioned that God have blessed them for the past 25 years, that is why they also continuously share their blessings with others. One of the social responsibility that they planned to do this year was the “Adopt – a – Barangay” program that will start this March.
Dr. Pedro shared that one of the reasons of kids absenteeism in schools are tooth decay and lice infestation. In the “Adopt – a – Barangay” program, Lamoiyan Corporation in partnership with PDA (Philippine Dental Association) will sponsor free tooth extractions, lectures and discussions on how to prevent tooth decay and of course they will give away free product samples.
I am surprised to know that Lamoiyan Corporation hire deaf and mute to be part of their production team. They said that they support the deaf and mute community by helping them to be educated. As of now, it’s sad to know that there are almost 500,000 deaf and mute people in the country and only 10% get some form of education, the rest are in their house doing nothing.
They were also one of the sponsors of Operation Smile wherein they helped babies and kids to have free surgeries to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
Hapee Toothpaste supports to the community is remarkable.
Congratulations for the successful 25th year in the business and may your company grow more in the coming years.
Special thanks to Richard Mamuyac for inviting me to this event:)

I hope we could support local businesses and corporations like Lamoiyan more specifically because they support and employ people with physical disabilities.
