I am a stay at home mom for more than 2 years now. But being a stay at home mom doesn’t mean I am sleeping all day, sitting in the couch watching TV, chatting all day with the neighbors, playing online or facebooking or in other words- doing NOTHING!.
I tell you I am as busy as a bee as anyone with a job and this year was the busiest part of my life. Aside from doing some household chores, I also help with family’s income (even how little it maybe) through blogging and offline sidelines. I am proud to say that besides being a blogger, I am now into Real Estate as a Property Consultant.
Because of that, there are times that we are required to go to the site to log for attendance and look for possible buyers in the mall. The time I spend traveling from our house to the location eats most of my time. It’s a good thing that I only go there twice a week. I have also opened a new website that cater to those who are busy to check the actual unit or those who are abroad who want to see the property (check it out here- http://cheapropertyphils.info/) or like my FB page here- https://www.facebook.com/cheappropertyphils
I like that my schedule is flexible unlike when I am still working in an office. I also have lots of plan in my mind to earn more. I want to open a lot of websites with different niches. But, maybe because I am not getting younger I feel restless and tired. I want to do lots of things and I want to give my son and my husband everything that they need, but there are times that I just can’t. And I feel guilty about it.
I hope I can do more things to provide more for my family. This is one of the lessons that my mom told us, she said that even though we are girls once we have our own family, we still should have our own income and do not depend on our husband to provide everything for us (even though they can). She is a single mom for more than 20 years now so she knows how hard it will be if she doesn’t have a job since my father died.
Until now, I can’t imagine how my mom took care of us when we were little (I only have 1 son and yet my mom had 3 of us). I hope I can do the same!
