There are plenty of hydroponic systems out there, but Aquaculture has some of the best and easiest to use available on the web. You can take a look here www.aquaculture-hydroponics.
The Autopot has an automatic water feeding tank that doesn’t use electricity. It uses natural capillary action to know when the plants are too dry and need more nutrient enriched water. You can have multiple units, up to twelve, attached to the tank. Since it is automatic you can even go on vacation and not have to worry that your plants will be parched when you come back. It does recommend you use coconut coir, which needs less water, as a grow medium. But, instructions are provided for all types of soil.
Gro-Tanks use an electric pump to deliver the nutrient solution from a tank below to the plants in the growing tray on top. The beauty of this system is that you can use plants straight from their starter nursery pots and pop them into customized holes in the holding plate. You can cut any sized holes for as many or as few plants as you need. Again it is an automatic feeding and watering system that can be left to its own devices and doesn’t necessarily need a timer.
An innovative Aeroponic System, for propagation, works in much the same way as the Gro-Tank. It is assembled and works almost the same way. The holes in the holding plate of this system are preformed to fit the included air pots An added heater for the water tank and a clear vented lid keep cuttings and seedlings warm. The vents allow for easy humidity adjustment and hardening off. Plants root quickly and are ready to be put in the ground or growing medium within two weeks.
Aquaculture also carries drip irrigation systems. Again, the set up is familiar. A water tank topped by a tray where the plant pots go. These do have electric pumps and will require timers. All necessary supplies are available on the site. As well as low heat grow lights ideal for early season seedlings or year round indoor gardening. Pop over here to see more in their line of growing systems and accessories.
