People who value relationships are always pleased to reconnect with people from their past especially childhood friends whom they have lost touch with. This is one of the reasons why social networking sites continue to grow in size and popularity. Most Social Networking Sites today offer free memberships like Facebook, MySpace, and Friendster. There are also some sites that charge premiums or subscription fees for additional services. The beauty of free membership is that you can sign-up in all these sites just to get a taste of what they have to offer then make your choice afterwards. Just make sure that you familiarize yourself with the cancellation policies for a smooth exit.
The first social networking site that I joined was Friendster in early 2000 when it gained popularity. Over the years I’ve tried other sites like MySpace, MyLife, Linked in, Tagged, multiply, before settling into my current Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts. My Life.com a social networking site that lets you view people who are also searching for you is one of those that charge subscription fees for premium services. I tried it for free at first, and then I got curious about their premium services so enrolled in a temporary subscription. I followed the MyLife Refund and cancellation instructions, which are found in their website, so I had no problem with stopping the service and payments for the subscription. One of the reasons why people get frustrated with getting refunds or cancelling services is because they don’t read and follow the instructions given.
Unless you made a subscription or agreed to pay for extra service, there is no need to cancel your membership in these social networking sites. Your account will simply be inactive if you decide not to use it, but it can still be there should you decide to get back to it in the future.
