I saw this book last year at a counter of National Bookstore. I bought it, because it’s cheap (only P50.00) and the cashier told me that there were only a few books left, so I got curious.
This book manages to combine personal experiences about finance and bible teachings. In this book, I have learned that winning a Lotto is not a solution to money problems. There are some true stories in the book that shows me that some Lotto winners became a millionaire for a while then ended up in bankruptcy and some even lost their lives because of winning.
I learned that we are only God’s manager of the money in this world. He give us the money and it’s up to us how we are going to handle it on His way and for His glory. We should learn how to handle money even how small it is, so that God can entrust us his real treasures in Heaven. In the bible, God teaches us to multiply and grow His riches and not just to keep it here on Earth since it will make us worthless.
This book is so interesting that when my sister saw it, she borrowed it and sadly she never returned it LOL. I knew she also needed it to be educated financially since as of now, she can’t even buy a book as cheap as P50.00 and that she is earning a five digit salary monthly LOL
This is not a financial blog, but saving, budgeting and even getting out of debt is one of the things I learned a year ago. I am not a financial guru and I can say that we are also struggling financially, but I am doing my best to live simply and be contented on what we have (even though how HARD it can be). I also don’t stop on educating myself and looking for ways to earn even though I am just a stay at home mom, so don’t be surprised if you will read more articles about finances on this blog.
If you want to get out of the rat race, be debt FREE, have an emergency fund and even retirement fund, then I suggest to keep yourself educated financially and you can start with this so affordable book.

Interesting. I’m personally not very good with money–never been in debt, luckily, but I certainly don’t save as much as I should. It’s something I need to work on.

Madami na akong nabasang finance management books (e.g. Pera Mo, Palaguin Mo) at may mga nai-aaply na ako sa aking pang-araw araw na buhay. Minsan nga lang ay pumapalya, I just hope to be better in managing my money. I’ll definitely buy this book, mura eh (kuripot talaga ako) 🙂

that’s good to know. I am just like you minsan palyado din, pero try and try pa din 🙂

The book sounds interesting. I love finance books written by filipino authors because they are able to address our situations more.
