Wow! I have just read that our very own Charice Pempengco will be one of the cast on the movie “Here comes the Boom” that will be released on July 2012. Besides Glee, filming this movie is one of the reasons why Charice is so busy at Hollywood nowadays.
Here comes the Boom is an action-comedy film. Charice will play the role of “Malia”. In this movie, Charice will work with Salma Hayek, Kevin James, Henry Winkler to name a few. The movie will be directed by Frank Coraci (also directed: Click, Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, Around the World in 80 Days etc).
“The movie is about a school that is about to lose it’s music department, so the school music teacher (played by Kevin James) tried entering cage fights for prize money in an effort to save the school’s music program.” (from: Southomer)
We’ll the plot sounds kinda interesting, I can’t wait to see this one when it come out on the theaters. Way to go Charice!

Kevin James in the biology teacher in this movie and Henry Winkler is the music teacher. Kevin james entered MMA so that he can save the job of Henry Winkler.
Saw the movie and I did not know that it was Charice until the part that she sang (in the football field). I thought she’s some other asian cast in the movie until she sang.
anyway, she did a good job! great family movie and have tons of fun watching it!
