Ms. Janette Toral has a yearly writing project that aims to identify new and emerging blogs that are making impact to it’s readers every year. Since this new blog of mine is qualified to be one of the Emerging Influential Blogs this 2011, I reviewed my previous posts and reflected if it will fit some of the criteria to be called an “Influential Blog”.
But what really makes a blog influential? Can this blog of mine be called one? Help me to find out since I should not be the one to tell it.
The reasons why I started this blog is to share some of my personal thoughts on the things that are happening around me, to share some useful tips and information that I know, and hopefully to earn some profit as well.
This blog is only 3 months old but despite of that, it is already gaining some readers. You can get valuable readers not only by online contest, but by writing things that people find interesting and can relate to. By doing so, it will not be hard to people to follow you.
That is why the things that I usually talked about here are the things that will somehow touch and inspire someone’s life, something that will make you smile and laugh, a heads up on the things I experienced be it good or bad so that my readers will either learn from my mistakes or be inspired to achieve what I have accomplished.
I didn’t realized how a blog can be that influential until the time I posted here my quiet bad experience in one of the salon I visited and I never knew that some of my readers also felt the same way. It reached the management of the said salon and that they humbly asked for an apology. I have learned that even if you post a transparent or unbiased opinion it will still have an impact on ones business or individual. That is why getting all the informations and facts is important in writing. I realized that a blogger should have credibility and that we have to make sure people can trust you since bloggers can now be considered as the new media.
If you think this blog can be one of the Emerging Influential Blogs or does it still needs improvements then I hope you can drop some comments here. I am an open minded person so I want to know what you think of this blog whether it’s good or bad and this insight of yours will surely make me be a better blogger.
