Across the country, communities are coming together to celebrate the power of storytelling and creativity through Book Nook—a free reading and activity space designed to spark learning, self-expression, and inclusivity.

This year, Book Nook goes beyond book readings, offering art workshops, cultural activities, and interactive storytelling sessions at SM Aura and SM Podium. Families, students, and aspiring creatives are invited to explore new perspectives through engaging experiences.
A Space for Learning and Creativity
From watercolor painting and lantern-making to comic creation, participants can express themselves through art. Live poetry readings, silent book clubs, and book launches further enrich the literary and artistic landscape, fostering connections among creative minds.
At Australia Corner in SM Podium, visitors can immerse themselves in international storytelling, while events like Tikoy 101 and the Book Nook Reading Festival showcase diverse cultural traditions and literature.
“Stories bring people together. Through Book Nook, we celebrate creativity while making learning accessible to all,” says Architect Shereen T. Sy, the visionary behind this initiative.
A Collective Effort to Promote Literacy
Book Nook thrives thanks to the dedication of communities, partners, and volunteers, proving that literacy and creativity flourish when people unite.
Join us at SM Aura and SM Podium and be part of a growing community that celebrates reading and creativity! Bring a book to donate or swap and explore a space where stories, art, and culture come to life. Let’s share the joy of reading—one book at a time!
