Asus ZenFone 5: I love this phone!

FINALLY!!! After almost a year, I already got my first ever android phone.  My online friends are already making fun of me for not having one.

I was a proud user of my Samsung E1080 with no back casing and that I need to put either a masking tape or a loom band to hold the battery at the back for almost 2 years.

As a blogger it is unusual if you don’t have a smartphone.  You are expected to be always online, and if you are going to an event it is recommended (but not necessary) to update your readers what are the latest happenings. Every time I am in an event, I felt out of place when my seatmates bring out their phones and start posting in their Instagram account.

But now, I feel “in”.

A few weeks ago, I have bought the Asus ZenFone 5 from a co-blogger.  She offered it to me for only P4,500 (the original price is P6,495 and up).

I was originally saving for a Xiaomi Mi3 but with half the price offer for this phone then I did not think twice to purchase it. It was a sweet deal!

ASUS Zenfone 5 was just released last June this year. That is the reason that I am having a hard time looking for a casing or any other accessories for this unit. It’s either it’s out of stocks or the stores don’t have it yet.

Asus Zenfone 5 is available in the following colors: Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, and Champagne Gold.

I got the Champagne Gold.

Here are the things I love about this phone.

• I like the 5 inches screen because it is easier for me to navigate the internet and my Facebook account.
• I love the 8MP BSI rear camera w/ LED flash.  The pictures are clear. It can even take good pictures even in low light. That is because of Asus’ PixelMaster technology that combines software, hardware and optical design to deliver incredible image quality. I have used it in several occasions already.  I can count on it in lieu of my DSLR, as it is not that bulky to carry around.   Here are some samples pictures:

• I am using it for 2 weeks now, and I am getting addicted to Candy Crush and other games (yeah late bloomer here).  So far, my phone is not hanging up on me.

I’m glad that I have waited for this phone, I hope it will last me for a very long time.
