The first time I saw the website of Agoda.com was when I was looking for an affordable Hotel in Hongkong. The trip to HongKong did not push thru but I saw great deals at this site, and if ever we will have something to splurge for an international or even local trip, I now know where to look from.
So, what is Agoda.com?
Agoda.com is Asia’s leading and fastest growing online hotel reservation service focused on securing and providing the lowest available hotel prices in every destination worldwide.
Yesterday I finally had the chance to try their service when I booked for a Hotel at Alabang for my brother’s wedding. The bride needs a nice and affordable place to change into her wedding gown and prepare her make up so we decided that a hotel is the best place to be. That is also where the couple will stay after the wedding.
At Alabang, most of the hotels are 5 stars and quite expensive: Vivere, Bellevue and Acacia . Good thing I saw The B Hotel, which is under the management of The Bellevue hotel, it is a three star hotel.
I booked for a Standard Bedroom for only P2,200 including taxes and service charge.
What’s nice with Agoda is that they accept Paypal payment beside credit card. This is an advantage because I don’t have a credit card.
Agoda also gives rewards for every successful booking, where you can use to get additional discounts on your next booking. You will earn 20 rewards points for every dollar spent. For example, if you make a booking worth US$1,000 and the full amount is charged to your credit card you will receive 20,000 points on the transaction. Also, if you refer your families, friends or co-workers to Agoda Rewards, you’ll earn 500 Rewards Points for each of the first three referrals. And, Once you’ve checked out of your hotel, you’ll be asked to provide feedback on your stay. Each completed hotel review will earn you 500 points.
I highly recommend Agoda.com for those who frequently travel and are looking for a place to stay in that gives the best value for your money.
I will ask my brother about the B Hotel after they stay so watch out for it.

I have been using Agoda for our trips abroad. To date, I have USD 32 credit hopefully, I could already stay in a hotel here for free using the points. 🙂

I had book a premier deluxe room from agoda ,after I had made payment they email to inform that the premier deluxe room is under renovation ,and they suggested I downgrade to deluxe room instead. So, I ask for a refund from the different. What I check from agoda website the different between premier deluxe room and deluxe room is USD 20+, in the end they refund only USD 3+. I felt cheated . This is not the first time I book from them ,but this will definitely be my last time.
