I am not familiar with this corned beef until I saw the post of Frannywanny. I was curious about what it taste, but I don’t know where to get one. She said that it can be bought at S&R but I am not a member and I don’t know anyone nearby who is a member of the said store so buying this canned good there seems impossible.
I was surprised when I had a grocery last week at Robinson’s Ermita when I saw this at the shelves. Even though the price is quiet high compared to other corned beef, I still bought it. The price is more or less around P100-P150 per can (380 grams) and I bought the Original Ranch Style flavor.
When I arrived home, I immediately opened the can and cooked it. Since I am using a Teflon pan, I did not use any oil and it’s a good thing I didn’t since this corned beef has it’s own oil.
After cooking it, I am very excited to taste it together with my fried rice.
The Delimondo’s Corned Beef did not disappoint me, it tasted really good! I can somehow compare the taste a little better than Purefoods Corned Beef but because of the beef strips, it looks more like real meat.
I recommend this to canned goods and meat lovers out there. I know canned goods are not healthy, but you can try it once in a while for curiosity sake 🙂
By the way, besides S&R and selected Robinsons Supermarket, you can buy this corned beef at Petra and Pilar Restaurant (JAKA Center Bldg, Exportbank Drive cor. Chino Roces, Makati), Salcedo Village Weekend Market, Legaspi Village Sunday Market and Ayala Alabang Saturday Market.

my kids used to love corned beef but now, medyo ayaw na nila. I think i should try this no, para maiba naman 😉
